Maffy's Best Numbers was written produced by the Resources and Learning Development Unit in Bristiol back in the 1980's with the help of local schools and teachers. It and consists of puzzles, problems, investigations and games that are suitable for children in primary and secondary schools. Many of the ideas were contributed by the children themselves.
We hope all ATM members will still enjoying working on some of these classic activities
Laurinda Brown was an editor at the RLDU in the 1980's and writes: "Jo Waddingham was Maffy when the booklet was produced as part of our support work for young teachers in the county (Bristol and Avon area). Jo got involved as editor of an issue after a meeting of the group sharing current puzzles and this led to Maffys Best Numbers.
