Bowland Maths

Bowland LogoBowland Charitable Trust is a charity created by Tony Cann, the founder of Promethean Ltd, as a grant making foundation to support the education and training of young people. 

ATM worked in partnership with the MA and Bowland Trust to devise the initial five professional development modules (2007-8).

The Bowland PD player

A set of highly interactive professional development modules for teachers to work on collaboratively.

Face to face PD events

During 2008-9 Over 200 mathematics advisers, consultants and university colleagues attended 9 events across the UK.

These events which were funded by the Bowland Trust, and were  developed and led by ATM and other assoication colleagues.

In 2013, Bowland Maths, together with a team of experts from Japan, undertook a pilot project in Lesson Study in nine schools to support teacher professional development in problem solving with Bowland Maths.
