Getting Children Counting - DVD

Family and friends play a big part in getting children counting, and this 20 minute DVD shows how. It can be used by parents or carers, or for initial and in-service professional development for those working with children.

The DVD includes clips of children from small babies to those starting school. Most of the clips are in English, but the importance of other family languages is stressed, including Bengali, Somali, French, and Turkish.

The DVD was originally made for practitioners in Leicester by the University of Leicester School of Education, Sparkenhoe Community Primary School, and Saffron Sure Start and is now available from the ATM.
