It Makes You Think

Book and CD by Jill Mansergh

It Makes you Think provides a selection of activities to encourage children to think, by themselves, with a partner, in a group or as a class. This photocopiable book comes with a CD of resources which may be printed out by the purchasing institution.

Shaping up is a series of activities working with a variety of shape cards, suitable for children throughout the primary range.

Plonker boards can be used for questioning by the teacher in a mental oral starter or by children challenging each other with questions.

Clued up is a series of collaborative problem solving activities for children, - these differ from those elsewhere as they have resources to use alongside the problems.

Colour sudoku is a series of sudoku boards which can be used with multilink cubes, supplemented by suggestions as to how to encourage children to reason and to articulate their reasoning.
