ATM is 50

In 2001 ATM celebrated its 50th anniversary. To mark the occasion, Phil Dodd organised the ‘Special Event’ at the Easter Conference where delegates worked on a collection of activities that all involved the use of 50 in some form or another.

Many of the ideas were generated by Phil but there were also contributions from other members of the Association of Teachers of Mathematics.

Since these activities deserve a wider audience, a selection are included in this pack. Some of these are specific to the number 50, but others could be adapted in a variety of ways.
