For the Classroom

A collection of mathematical ideas and activities originally published in the centre pages of Mathematics Teaching, one of the journals of the Association of Teachers of Mathematics. These were written by a variety of members of the association, with some authors contributing more than one article.

The centre pages have been presented as they originally appeared in Mathematics Teaching with the facility to be taken from the pack, photocopied and used in the classroom. By purchasing this pack you are licenced to photocopy this resource for use within the purchasing Institution.

The purpose is to provide a flexible resource containing a range of ideas that can be used as they are, or can be developed and adapted by teachers. On the whole these activities have been tried and tested prior to their inclusion in the journal, although some are there to provoke thought and discussion.

Many are not aimed specifically at a particular age range, whilst others are more specific, both in content and in the level of skills needed by the pupils.

These ideas and activities have been reproduced and presented as they were originally, with the facility to be taken out of the pack, photocopied and taken into the classroom. As you use this pack you will find ideas that can be used across all key stages encouraging pupils to be actively engaged in learning and exploring mathematics.

The 32 A3 articles within the pack are supplied in a sturdy plastic wallet.

Photocopiable Resource for all Key Stages.
