These books are designed to give exam-style question practice for the Edexcel Mathematics GCSE. Each book comprises two sets of linear exam-style papers and answers as well as a CD-ROM. The CD-ROM contains two sets each of linear and modular exam-style papers in pdf format. Each of the pdfs are linked to a Live Learning Player with visual and audio solutions to each of the exam questions. All the papers are in the same format as the Edexcel papers.
On the CD-ROM there is a start menu that gives the option of two sets of exam-style papers for both the linear and the modular examination. Clicking on one of the options loads a pdf of the exam paper, which can be printed out.
On the right-hand side of the pdf are links to the fully worked examples. Clicking on the link loads the Live Learning Player.
The wonderful thing about the Live Learning Player software is that the student is able to see and hear in real-time the solution written, as it were, on a white board. The solution can be paused and repeated as many times as the student wishes! All parts of the questions are given full worked solutions together with clear guidance on how to approach them and how to set out the answers.
