Reaching the Core of AS Mathematics

Working with Sums & Products

The Working with Sums and Products CD-ROM contains eight programs: four of them are for use with an interactive whiteboard or multi-media projector; the other four are for use by pupils, either individually or in small groups. Problem Solving with Spreadsheets Book & CD

The problems require little prior knowledge in terms of explicit mathematical content. The aim is to provide problems that are challenging but accessible to students in the upper primary and secondary age ranges. Most of the problems include a range of extension problems to challenge even the most able.
