Although I am overjoyed with the return to extended CPD for mathematics, I am concerned about this being put into a solid week block over the summer.

It would be better to have some residential sessions, maybe in October half term, where teachers get paid. Then a follow up day maybe in the Easter break and a final residential at the beginning of the summer holiday. This would allow teachers time in between sessions to reflect, discuss with colleagues and also try ideas with their classes.
