Welcome to the new look eNews

I thought it was time we had a re-design of the eNews to reflect the changes that have been happening and continue to develop on the ATM website.

The new design has taken a while to develop so that it displays correctly in most email systems. Not an easy task.

The intention is that we will also be making the eNews a more regular event.

 Keeping up-to-date with ATM

We have been working very hard to make it easier to keep in touch with what's happening with ATM.

So I thought it would be useful to update you on some of the new systems we have put in place.

I know you want to keep in touch with what's going on but it is not always easy to log on to the website to get the latest. So we have made it easier for you. You will find everything that's going on here and most of them have an easy way to let the system generate an email straight to your inbox with the latest.

 Get everything to your email inbox

Too busy to keep checking the website. Easy. Get all the news, diary events, forum postings delivered to your email inbox.

We have made it easy to subscribe to notifications of most of the information on the website. Just visit the ATM News page, for example, and add your email address to the box at the top of the page. No logging in - just enter the ail address and away you go.

Sit back and your email programme will tell you when there is something to look at.

 Getting the ATM News

We collect any news items that are closely connected with ATM, ATM events and developments on the website. Keep in touch with ATM itself, things that are happening around the country with ATM branches.

New developments on the website itself are also broadcast here.

You can get yourself an email notification or a daily digest with news items by signing up using the quick form on this page too.

 Noticeboard

Because our website is so popular everyone wants their news and event publicised with us.

We provide a our ATM Noticeboard for items that are not strictly ATM but that we feel are worth more than just adding to the mathematics news section.

Conferences, interesting events and other items that we feel are of specific interest to our members and visitors.

You can sign up for email notifications of new diary events being added.

Find out what's on in mathematics education - locate them by date or by place.

The diary to allow you not only to search by date to avoid your event clashing or to see what’s available when it suits you. If you want to transfer an event to your own personal Google calendar, just click and it is transferred.

With a bit of web magic we are able to plot on a Google map all the events as well so you can see which is happening near you.

You can submit education events to the diary as well.

And...as usual you can sign up for email notifications of new diary events being added.

 Talk, Share, Discuss: ATM Forum

The ATM Forum is a place to meet, a place to share, a place to ask questions, a place to comment.

All you have to do is register with the Forum and you are instantly part of a large community of people with a shared interest in the teaching of maths.

A separate registration from the ATM website log-in system is required for security reasons.

You can either set a topic in the Forum so that you get an email notification of a new post for just that topic, or you can set notifications for everything.

Combining search technology and digital newshounds we trawl the web for news related to mathematics education and some about education in general.

All the news you would need to keep you up-to-the-minute in education - mainly the UK but some from elsewhere.
