My World Screens
These are a set of screens to be used with the software My World or My World 2 on an Acorn/RISC OS system or on a PC. They were invented and created by students as part of their teacher training course.
They may be downloaded by clicking the right hand mouse button on the picture of each screen.
For specific instructions for each type of computer see below.

A General Coin Screen
This screen has a copy layer of all coins up to £1. Tasks may be entered using the My World text icon and then saved for different groups of children. It might also be used in !Draw as the basis of new screens with graphics imported/drawn by the teacher.
Toy Shop Screen
This screen has items with price tags for goods in a “shop window&rdsquo; with a copy layer of all coins up to £1. If you know how to use Draw then you might want to create similar screens using different graphics to create new shop windows.
Number Jigsaw
This screen has gaps in the 100 grid to be filled in with jigsaw pieces from the grid. Each jigsaw piece is the same shape. If you have ideas for adaptations or other number grid screens email us and let us know the details.
Bits of Grid
This screen has a parts of the 100 grid with gaps for the 8 times table to be filled in from the numbers offered at the bottom of the screen. We have similar screens for other tables - email us if you would like to see them.
Unite Europe Today
This screen has a jigsaw of the countries of Europe. Trying to put the exploded map back together helps to increase awareness of the locations of countries. Naming them follows as a natural extension.
Download and File Type Instructions
Download the relevant file
PC: Make sure the downloaded file has the extension .myw
Acorn/RISC OS: Set the file type to DrawFile*
To set the file type on an Acorn/RISC OS machine:
Point at the downloaded file (e.g.coin.myw)
Click the menu (middle) button
Set type to drawfile following the menus as illustrated
